Good & Sunny Monday Everyone!

I thought a nice way to start the week would be bringing up some calmness, by sharing with you all some photos with a touch of Yoga, Beach & India in them. How does that sound? : )

I have looked into yoga holidays and retreats several times, but never really ended up booking one. So this has been a first, and most certainly not a last.
My friend and travel buddy Mercedes and I knew we were going to have 10 days in Goa after our tour through Rajasthan last January, so we did a bit of research through the many appealing options. It was finally the guys from my yoga centre here in London (Indaba Yoga), who recommended Ashiyana Yoga Resort, in North Goa.

Ashiyana is a beautiful oasis of calmness.  I had love at first sight when I first stepped in the resort.

Tropical gardens, tasteful Asian deco, relaxing yoga shalas, delicious Indian and Nepali influenced meals made in the house, blindingly colorful breakfasts composed of fresh fruits, yogurt & fresh squeeze juices, 5 super cute yogi dogs, great yoga teachers & wide range of yoga styles, 2 minutes walk to a super cute street with lots of nice shops, massages & cafes, 3 minutes to the stunning Mandrem Beach, a nice 20 minutes walk along the beach to the very hippie Arambol…

The day tends to have a nice and slow pace whilst staying here. Early nights and early mornings. Time to yourself.
Practicing yoga, reading, meditating, sunbathing, a ginger & lemon tea or a pint of kingfisher… whatever it is you feel like. Time to listen to your body is it.

Ashiyana was absolutely spot on and I am sure almost any yoga resort in India or else where will most likely get it real right too. It’s just a matter of finding the one that works best for you.
