Sunsets & Bubbles – 8/11/2015
It’s the 8th of November 2015. Today, 5 years ago I was flying into Heathrow with a few suitcases and a very vague idea of what I was about to get myself into : )
5 years, over 80 flights, dozens of litres of English breakfast tea, 2 hostels, 1 students residence, 2 houses, 14 flatmates, a handful of incredible friends, a couple of heartbreaks and countless other things later… I am celebrating my 5th year in London.
5 years in town sounded like a very good excuse to head to one of my favourite places in London and enjoy a very Autumnal morning tea with a view that I could never get tired of, the views of the north side of the river from the Tate Modern and Southbank.
These photos are from Friday and they were taken by the very talented Kristine from Laine Apine.
If you are a regular reader of Sunsets & Bubbles, you have probably noticed that one of the things I love the most about London is actually the people that make this city such a diverse, vibrant and especial one. That’s why I like to introduce places, together with some Londoners and their different stories and backgrounds…
Kristine is another London based photographer, she’s from Latvia and came to London around 3 years ago, when she started taking photography to the next level, to be now her full time job. I came across her photography a few months ago and got very caught by her portrait style. She took my first profile photos for the blog and she’s taken this new bunch that I absolutely love!
Thanks a lot Kristine for taking these beautiful shots!
Here are some more photos, in this case taken by me on the same Friday morning, of the Tate Modern and Southbank, as I said earlier, without a doubt, one of my favourite spots in town…
With my 5th London Birthday I’m kicking off a 365 days project with one photo a day. If you’d like to know more about it, follow @365daysofcharo on instagram. It promises to be at the very least, challenging! Let’s see where the next 365 days take me to… 🙂
Happy Days everyone & Happy London Birthday to me!
On this Blogpost:
Laine Apine Photography – by Kristine Peterson
Southbank London – The south riverside of the Thames all the way from the London Eye alongside the river to Borough Market (another of my favourite places in London)
Tate Modern – Probably my favourite museum in London and definitely the best coffee views. Their cafe on the 6th floor overlooking St. Paul’s Cathedral is definitely a London highlight…
