Times: From 10am to 1.30pm, every Thursday during 4 weeks
10am – Yoga basics and principles session
12pm – Meditation session
12.30pm – Yoga session

* For the courses held in Málaga, please bring your own mat.
* Even though the mats are Studio MindBody are really nice, I always recommend having your personal own yoga mat. If you’re interested in getting one, let me know so I can advise.

COURSES PROGRAMME: Goal of the courses: Offering an induction to the world of Yoga, its benefits and philosophy. With your attendance to one of the courses, you will understand the essential basics that make Yoga, a unique discipline for your personal development, both physically and mentally. Throughout the programme, we will try to understand why a lot of the people who practice yoga on a regular basis, offers statements such as: “Yoga has changed my life, to be a more fulfilled and happier person” 

“If you practice yoga once a week, you will change your mind. If you practie yoga twice a week, you will change your body. If you practice yoga every day, you will change your life”

Detailed programme:

Week 1:
– What is Yoga?
– Misconceptions about Yoga
– Importance of breathing & breathing techniques (Pranayama)

Week 2:
– Little introduction to the History of Yoga
– How to get the benefits of yoga, both, in the yoga mat and outside the yoga mat: “The 8 petals of Patanjali”
– Practice of Sun Salutations

Week 3: 
– 6 Branches of classical yoga & Main modern days yoga styles
– The Yogic Body (East vs West view)
– Energy, channels and the subtle body: Koshas & Chakras
– The physical practice of yoga: How it works, understanding your body, safety in the practice

Week 4:
– Yogic symbology & meaning:
Mudras – Bandas – Mantras and other terms
– What is and what is not Meditation?
– The concept of Mindfulness
– Meditative Yin Yoga practice
