Place to Brunch: Fingers Crossed – Dalston (N16 7UN – London)
My Tagline for this place: Cosy and really genuine hidden gem in East London.
Elsa – French, living in London.
Lucy – English, living in Madrid, visiting London –her former town- for the weekend.
Elsa was The Brunch Club’s special guest for the day. She’s an amazing photographer. She was one of my photography mentors when I first got into photography during my early days in London. I’ve been inspired by her photographs so many times!
Lucy is Elsa’s bridesmaid to be. She came all the way over to London from Spain for the hen weekend. Elsa is marrying Pete, and that’s why we were all having brunch together and why we all have a French-Irish wedding coming up this summer in the French countryside! 🙂
Elsa’s been living in Dalston for over 8 years and she knows the place inside out, including the best places to hang out. I wasn’t surprised that when I asked her to be part of the Brunch Club she took us to Fingers Crossed – she had taken me there before and I absolutely loved the place.
The day started off with a slight hangover from Friday night, put right with some coffee and cake at Mouse & De Lotz, followed by Elsa’s choice of brunch venue – Fingers Crossed.
This charming café is situated off the buzzy bits of Dalston’s main road. Dalston is a district of north-east London, located in the borough of Hackney. As in other cities like Berlin or New York, the east side of town in London is the most alternative and creative area.
I’ll leave you here with some photos of Fingers Crossed, definitely worth a look here on a weekend morning. The food is absolutely delicious!
